Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) is the principal provider of community-based healthcare to the 1.1m residents of Hertfordshire and, since April 2012, 68,000 children in West Essex. [ 1 ] The Trust provides community-based services for adults and older people, children and young people, and a range of specialist care services.

NHS West Essex was a NHS primary care trust (PCT) in Essex, England. Formed in October 2006 following the merger of the three previous primary care trusts – Epping Forest, Harlow and Uttlesford, it has an annual budget of £370m.
Essex was under the Essex SHA. In 2006 regions were again reorganised and Essex came under NHS East of England until that was abolished in 2013. Because it failed to meet the NHS targets for elective treatment - 92 patients had waited more than a year in October 1918 - the Herts Valley Clinical Commissioning Group decided to fine the trust £500,000 a month until its performance reaches the national target of 92%.
