Freeport is a city, district and free trade zone on the island of Grand Bahama of the northwest part of The Bahamas.In 1955, Wallace Groves, a Virginian financier with lumber interests in Grand Bahama, was granted 20,000 hectares (50,000 acres) of pineyard with substantial areas of swamp and scrubland by the Bahamian government with a mandate to economically develop the area.

Carnival Sensation, initially named Sensation, was a 70,367 GT cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. She was built in 1993 in Finland and cruised from Florida, USA to ports in the Bahamas and the Caribbean until the COVID-19 pandemic stopped operations in March 2020. The ship was subsequently sold for scrapping.
The ship has returned to its old name as Grand Celebration and since February 2015 began sailing out of the Port of Palm Beach in Riviera Beach, Florida for cruises to Freeport, Bahamas.
