Maroon Peak, at 4,317 metres (14,163 ft), is the 27th highest peak in Colorado. North Maroon Peak, at 4,273 metres (14,019 ft), is the 50th highest (depending on how they are counted). The view of the Maroon Bells to the southwest from the Maroon Creek valley is very heavily photographed.
These encourage collecting dead-and-down firewood, though, which occasionally brings locals and people visiting other campgrounds. In general, though, the area is fairly private. Yankee Boy Basin is a good place to see native wildlife, including: deer , black bear , birds of prey , and other fauna of the southwestern Rocky Mountains region.

Rifle Falls State Park is a Colorado State Park located in Garfield County northeast of Rifle, Colorado. The central feature of the 48-acre (19-hectare) park is Rifle Falls, [ 2 ] a triple 70-foot (21-meter) waterfall flowing over a travertine dam on East Rifle Creek.
