Smith's Chapel, also known as Smith Chapel, is a historic chapel located at 29858 Redfield Road [3] in Milton Township, Cass County, Michigan, near Niles. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1979 [ 2 ] and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. [ 1 ]
They first met in the surrounding township, but in 1852 moved to the village of Charlotte. By 1854 they were meeting at the county courthouse, and in 1856 constructed a frame church for worship. Charlotte quickly grew, and in 1866 the congregation agreed to construct a new and larger place of worship.

Minster Abbey is the name of two abbeys in Minster-in-Thanet, Kent, England. The first was a 7th-century foundation which lasted until the Dissolution of the Monasteries . Beside its ruins is St Mildred's Priory , a Benedictine community of women founded in 1937.

Bronze casket for St Mildred's relics in Minster Abbey, made (1955) by Sister Concordia Scott. Mildrith's successor as abbess, Eadburg (also styled Edburga of Minster-in-Thanet, a correspondent of Saint Boniface), built a new abbey church, also at Minster-in-Thanet, dedicated to Ss Peter and Paul, and translated Mildrith's remains there not later than 748.
