The High Kings is an Irish folk group formed in Dublin in 2008. The band consists of Finbarr Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Darren Holden, and Paul O'Brien. [1] As of 2023, the group had released five studio albums, four live albums, two live DVDs, and one greatest hits album.

On 2 November 2017 Holden appeared again on the TV3's The 6 O'Clock Show, marking his sixth appearance on the show, talking about the High Kings' new album Decade: The Best of the High Kings. The album was released on 3 November 2017 and rose to Number 1 on iTunes. [citation needed] The band kicked off an Irish tour at the end of March 2018.

Brian Dunphy (born 17 June 1974, Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish folk singer and son of the showband singer Sean Dunphy, [1] who represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1967. As a performer and member of the Irish folk band The High Kings , Brian Dunphy has toured the United States, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
As of 2024, Gaelic Storm has announced their new tour, “The Mighty Tour 2,” in which the band High Kings will accompany them. Gaelic Storm also announced in March, that lead guitarist Steve Twigger will not be attending the tour due to health concerns that have led to his absence from the band.
