Michael Carlyle Hall (born February 1, 1971) [1] is an American actor, Singer, and Songwriter. He is known for playing the titular character in the Showtime series Dexter (2006–2013) and David Fisher in the HBO drama series Six Feet Under (2001–2005).
Critics have cited David Fisher as the first realistic portrayal of a gay lead male character on American television, and the character is popularly regarded as one of the most beloved of the series.
