Jonathan Daly (born January 14, 1942) is an American actor who is known in America for his roles in Petticoat Junction, The Jimmy Stewart Show, and C.P.O. Sharkey, and best known in Australia for being in the comedy duo "Delo & Daly".
In 1975, Bates was hired as a featured player on the short-lived variety sketch show Keep on Truckin' featuring Didi Conn, Fred Travalena and Wayland Flowers. Bates became a semi-regular on Rickles' sitcom CPO Sharkey (1976–78) as the love-interest of 6'7" tall Seaman Pruitt (played by actor Peter Isacksen).
From 1976 to 1978, Rickles had a two-season starring role in the NBC television sitcom C.P.O. Sharkey, having previously starred in two eponymous half-hour programs, an ABC variety series titled The Don Rickles Show (1968) and a CBS sitcom identically titled The Don Rickles Show (1972).

Born in New York, Slattery was a graduate of All Hallows High School who briefly studied at Fordham University, where he had scholarships in track and football. He left Fordham and enlisted in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, serving as a lieutenant in the Pacific for two and a half years. [2]
