Leeds College of Building in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, is the only further education college in the UK which specialises in the construction industry. It was established in 1960 and currently has about 6,500 students. It has two campuses, the North Street campus and the South Bank campus. [2]
It was known as Leeds College of Art and Design until 2009, and then as Leeds College of Art. [7] In August 2017, the school was granted university status and the name was changed to Leeds Arts University. The main building was constructed in 1912 as the Education Block for the City of Leeds Training College and is a Grade II Listed Building of red brick, gritstone ashlar dressings, slate and a lead roof.
