The Montana Deaf and Dumb Asylum, also known as the Old Administration Building, off Montana Highway 69 (formerly Montana Secondary Highway 281) near Boulder, was added in 1985. The Montana Bar was only about 2 to 3 acres (8,100 to 12,100 m 2) in extent, but it was one of the truly spectacular placer gold discoveries in terms of yield per unit area. The Bar was also unique in that the gold was not located on bedrock at the bottom of the gulch, but was in a shelf of gravel located up on the side of the gulch. [ 6 ]
The Boulder Hot Springs Hotel is a hotel on the National Register of Historic Places located southeast of Boulder, Montana. It was added to the Register on January 12, 1979. [1] A 240 acres (0.97 km 2) area historically associated with the hotel was listed. [2]
The hotel is one of the "Historic Inns of America." The Gallatin Gateway Inn was opened on June 18, 1927. Constructed and operated by The Milwaukee Road ( Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad ), the luxury hotel was reached by electrified railroad branch line that connected to the Milwaukee's main line at Three Forks, Montana .
Elkhorn is in eastern Jefferson County on the south side of the Elkhorn Mountains, in the valley of Elkhorn Creek. It can only be reached through its neighboring town, Boulder, by taking the I-15 exit for Boulder, continuing 7 miles (11 km) southeast on Montana Highway 69, then 11 miles (18 km) north on graveled county roads.

Sluice Boxes State Park is a public recreation area in the Little Belt Mountains of Montana, United States, located twelve miles (19 km) south of Belt on the Kings Hill Scenic Byway. The state park is highlighted by large cliffs and ledges where the northernmost eight miles of the Belt Creek canyon winds out of the Little Belt Mountains.
