Burnett County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 16,526. [2] Its county seat is Siren, [1] [3] with the majority of county governmental services located at the Burnett County Government Center. The county was created in 1856 and organized in 1865. [4]
1907 building that housed the Burnett County Abstract Company which performed title searches, facilitating transfers of real estate in the county. State Trunk Highway 87 (often called Highway 87, STH-87 or WIS 87) is a state highway in Polk and Burnett counties in the US state of Wisconsin that runs north–south in the northwestern portion of the state from St. Croix Falls to Grantsburg. It was first designated as a state highway in 1924.
