Geocaching (/ ˈ dʒ iː oʊ k æ ʃ ɪ ŋ /, JEE-oh-KASH-ing) is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called geocaches or caches, at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. DWJ activities ranges from weekly group lessons to international encounters that bring together partners from different countries. A special emphasis lies in the area of "youth hiking". Members are active also in climbing , nature conservation , sports, games and dance.
Park rangers offer over 400 naturalist outreach events each year including nature walks, evening campfire talks, snowshoe-building lessons, and geocaching. As part of the "I Can!" program for kids and families, the park provides a number of classes and guides to help with camping skills, canoeing, fishing, archery, and other activities. [5]

A Travel Bug is a dog tag used in Geocaching. Produced by Groundspeak, the bugs can be moved from cache to cache, with unique tracking numbers allowing their movements to be tracked through the company's geocaching website. Some tags are fastened to an object, known as a "hitchhiker", before they are released into a cache.
Activities available at the park include picnicking, biking, fishing, bird watching, geocaching and camping. Children under the age of 14 can fish for catfish from the Artesian Lake. Two half-mile trails are available for hiking.
