The Bombay Presidency or Bombay Province, also called Bombay and Sind (1843–1936), was an administrative subdivision (province) of India, with its capital in the city that came up over the seven islands of Bombay. The first mainland territory was acquired in the Konkan region with the Treaty of Bassein. Poona was the summer capital. [1]
He was appointed the President of the Fiscal Commission in October 1921. Sir Ibrahim Rahimtoola also proposed the British India Government to take due measure for the defense of vast Indian sea-coast. He published his article in 'The Times of India' in January, 1918 and emphasized the creation of the Indian Navy to protect the Indian coasts.

In 1839, British Invaded the Sind. On 1843's annexation Sind was merged into Bombay Presidency and form a division of Bombay Presidency.. Districts and Divisions were both introduced in Sind as administrative units by the British when Sind became a part of British India, and ever since then, they have formed an integral part in the civil administration of the Sind.
The First India Hajj Committee met in April of that year in Bombay and this was to become the initiation point of the modern national Hajj Committee's across 21st century India.
