Not exactly. Unemployment is targeted to folks laid off or otherwise terminated 'without cause.' If a Texas employee is terminated for 'cause,' no benefits are payable. It's fairly easy for an employer to claim and show 'cause.' Welcome to 'business friendly,' or 'worker unfriendly' Texas. Elections matter.

Additionally, under Home, it says “you do not meet TWC’s criteria to submit another application for unemployment benefits using the internet”… I have never seen this message before as she never had to navigate to the home page. There’s a phone number to call but in the meantime, anybody have an idea of what happened?
Texas unemployment but don't have a Texas ID or TX Drivers license I'm translating and helping my family fill out their Unemployment benefits but I'm unsure what to do about one of my relatives as they've worked in Texas for 4-5 years but still has their New York license since they never renewed it.
