The Director’s Academy (DA) is a statewide program of the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association. Entry to the DA is only for clubs who meet the requirements set forth in the DA application.
Michigan State Youth Soccer Association offers many different coaching education opportunities. As a direct member of US Soccer , MSYSA provides coaches with the opportunity to take the ‘Grassroots Modules’, ‘D’ and ‘C’ License courses within the State.
MSYSA strongly recommends that its sanctioned tournaments require that non-MSYSA teams show proof of medical insurance. For US Youth Soccer affiliated teams, a Permission to Travel or Notification form approved by their home state association is usually sufficient.
The purpose of the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association is to provide an opportunity through our member leagues for all youth in the state to have an enjoyable soccer experience while moving toward their personal goals.
The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. Our goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family.
