Fort Collins is closer to the signals, so should be fine. You might even be able to get away with an indoor antenna, but I'm not sure. I used a device called HDHomerun to watch those channels on my streaming devices.

That is a very good question that I hadn't considered before. Yes, there is. The four-port's additional features such as the built-in four-port switch, phone jack, and Wi-Fi router definitely consumer more power than the single-ports basic ONT and wired routing capabilities.
Connexion is good people though. I still remember when I started getting sudden bonus speeds from the incumbent within a month of Connexion going live. Even folks who stay with the incumbents get better deals now just because Connexion exists.
