RFDS: Royal Flying Doctor Service is an Australian drama television series which centres on the lives of workers for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Commissioned by the Seven Network and produced by Endemol Shine Australia , it began airing on 11 August 2021.
The series centres around the everyday lifesaving efforts of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia. [1] It was preceded by a three-part miniseries in 1985, and 221 episodes were produced over nine seasons. [2] The Flying Doctors aired until 6 October 1992. [3] In January 1993, the series was renamed R.F.D.S.
The first two episodes of the program were broadcast on 24 September and 1 October 2007 before being pulled from the schedule. Nine then scheduled the remainder of the series at 7:00 Sunday from 16 March 2008.
