Module:Location map/data/Ukraine Kyiv is a location map definition used to overlay markers and labels on an equirectangular projection map of Ukraine Kyiv. The markers are placed by latitude and longitude coordinates on the default map or a similar map image.

The city's name (along with the settlement of Vorzel) was chosen due to its location on the Irpin River. From 26 July 1941, right after the Battle of Kyiv, it was occupied by the Wehrmacht until November 1943, when Kyiv was recaptured. Most of its Jewish population were murdered in either Babi Yar or other massacres by the Nazis.
It is on the right (western) bank of the Dnieper river and, as the location of the Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Plant, the northern part of the city is beside the Kyiv Reservoir. It is the administrative center of Vyshhorod Raion and hosts the administration of Vyshhorod urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. [2]

Obolon, a residential area (masyv) and an industrial zone of the Kyiv city. It is located between Dnieper river, Stepan Bandera Avenue, [2] Verbova Street, and Dehtyarenko Street. Kurenivka (1723–1833), an area towards the downtown of Kyiv. In the 17th century it used to be a suburb of the Kyiv city where the Kyiv Cossack Kosh was garrisoned.
