Arthroleptis tanneri, the Tanzania screeching frog or Tanner's squeaker, is a species of frog in the family Arthroleptidae. It is endemic to the West Usambara Mountains in northeastern Tanzania; previous records from elsewhere refer to other species.

The new species came from the place, Noa-Dihing River, from where the specimens were collected. This Noa-Dihing Music Frog is differed from other species of Nidirana genus by its size, oval toe tips, the tubercles on their backs and the unique call [2] reminiscent of "wild duck species". [3] The species is named after the Noa-Dahing River. [4]

The pig frog holds no particular conservation status and is relatively common in its range. The species has been introduced and established itself in China, Andros Island and New Providence Island in the Bahamas, as well as Puerto Rico. Pig frogs have been reported to be raised for food by Chinese farmers, along with bullfrogs. [7]
