An individual who has been disqualified from employment with one of the above provider types has the right to apply for a Good Cause Waiver (GCW), which, if granted, would not correct or remove the finding, but would lift the hiring restriction and allow the individual to be employed.

The Employee Disqualification Registry (EDR) contains the names of individuals who are disqualified from working with consumers receiving services from the Missouri Department of Mental Health. The list consists of individuals with disqualifying findings of abuse, neglect, and/or misuse of funds, who have exhausted their appeal process.
Effective August 28, 2012, Section 192.2490, RSMo has been amended to include consumer reporting agencies on the list of entities to which the Department of Health and Senior Services will provide Employee Disqualification List (EDL) information.
