Spring Lake, is a borough situated on the Jersey Shore in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 2,789, [9] a decrease of 204 (−6.8%) from the 2010 census count of 2,993, [18] [19] which in turn reflected a decline of 574 (−16.1%) from the 3,567 counted in the 2000 census.

The Borough of North Spring Lake was incorporated in May 1884, from portions of Wall Township. The borough was reincorporated on January 3, 1893, and gained additional portions of Wall Township in 1899 and 1903. [3] On February 24, 1903, the borough was annexed to Spring Lake, and the municipality of North Spring Lake was dissolved. [3] [4]
