When I open google earth its show me pic from 2017 (pic1) but on timeline i can switch to a newer one (pic2) but it is definitely better old. this means that many more images are probably taken, but (near) perfect conditions for a large surface are needed. imagine how difficult it is to have a good sunny time in Scotland for example ;) Cheers
