The winter beer festival is a smaller, indoor event at the University Social Club, [2] and since 2018 has been held in November. Both festivals are run by Cambridge & District CAMRA. The 2020 festival was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and it did not run again until 2023. [3]
Beer Day Britain was instigated by beer sommelier, writer and drinks educator Jane Peyton, [5] alongside brewers Sara Barton and Sophie de Ronde. [6] It took place for the first time in 2015.
