The Monte-Carlo Masters (also known as the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters for sponsorship reasons) is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players held in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France, [1] which borders on Monaco. It is played on clay courts at the Monte Carlo Country Club and is held in April.
It took place at the Monte Carlo Country Club in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France (though billed as Monte Carlo, Monaco) as a part of the Masters 1000 event on the 2021 ATP Tour. [ 1 ] The tournament's 2020 edition, which was scheduled for 13–19 April 2020, was cancelled due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in France . [ 2 ]
It was his third Monte-Carlo Masters title (in four years) and eleventh ATP Tour singles title. Tsitsipas became the fifth player in the Open Era to win three titles at the tournament, after Ilie Năstase (3), Björn Borg (3), Thomas Muster (3) and Rafael Nadal (11).
