On April 15, 2015, the Wizards unveiled a new primary logo. The 2024–25 Washington Wizards season is the 64th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and 51st in the Washington, D.C. area. On May 29, 2024, the Washington Wizards hired Brian Keefe as their full-time head coach.
It was the last season of Flip Saunders as Washington's head coach, who was fired after 17 games. [1] For the 2011–12 season, the Wizards unveiled a new logo and color scheme, bringing back the "hands" logo used during the 90s when they were still called the Washington Bullets. They also changed their DC logo including the "hands" logo. [2]
In December 2017, the Washington Wizards unveiled the Capital City Go-Go's name and released their logo. The team's name alludes to the go-go music genre that emerged in Washington, D.C., in the mid-1960s to late 1970s. [2] On August 7, 2018, the Washington Wizards named Pops Mensah-Bonsu as general manager and Jarell Christian as head coach. [3]
