The 1986 Full Members' Cup final was a football match which took place at Wembley Stadium on 23 March 1986. It was the final of the inaugural Full Members' Cup , the competition created in the wake of the 1985 ban on English clubs from European competitions following the Heysel disaster .
The match was overshadowed by an incident near the end of extra time, with the score at 0–0 and a penalty shoot-out looming, that saw Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga defy manager Maurizio Sarri and refuse to be substituted for Willy Caballero (whose penalty saves won former club Manchester City the 2016 Football League Cup Final).
In the quarter-finals, Chelsea narrowly won 1–0 against First Division Wolverhampton Wanderers. [4] The semi-final which was held at the Old Wembley was played against First Division Luton Town. Two goals by Gavin Peacock sealed Chelsea's place in the 1994 FA Cup Final. This would be Chelsea's first appearance in an FA Cup Final in 24 years. [5]

It also hosted the 2012 FA Community Shield, also contested between Manchester City and Chelsea, due to Wembley Stadium – England's national stadium – hosting the Olympic football tournament finals in the previous days, being picked in part because of its equidistance between Manchester and London.
The 1993–94 FA Cup was the 113th staging of the world and England's oldest cup competition, the Football Association Cup or FA Cup. The competition overall was won by Manchester United for the first time since 1990, with a 4–0 thrashing of Chelsea.
