Alcides Escobar (Spanish: [alˈsiðes eskoˈβaɾ]) (born December 16, 1986) is a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Milwaukee Brewers , Kansas City Royals and Washington Nationals , and in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows .
