The Miami County Courthouse is an historic building in Troy, Ohio, United States.Built from 1885 to 1888, [3] it was designed by noted Ohio (and later New York) architect Joseph W. Yost, who also designed the similar Belmont County Courthouse built at the same time in St. Clairsville.
The first spaces for the court was in rented rooms, and the first county building was a log jail ordered built in 1804; it is not known whether the building housed records. The first courthouse was built 1807-08 in Franklinton (then the county seat); its awarded builder was Lucas Sullivant , also first clerk of the court and founder of Franklinton.

In 1848, the building was adapted for use also as the new Chardon Library, the first branch of today's Geauga County Public Library. Main Street after the fire of 1868. In July 1868 a massive fire broke out in downtown, destroying the courthouse and almost every other building along Main Street. [2] However, none of its important records were lost.
The Butler County Courthouse is located in Hamilton, Ohio and was constructed from 1885–1889 by architect David W. Gibbs. The courthouse is a registered historic building listed in the National Register on June 22, 1981.
This building would last until 1915 when Clinton County passed a resolution declaring a new courthouse was needed. During a competition, the design was awarded to plans submitted by the architectural firm of Weber, Werner & Adkins with a budget of $300,000 allotted to the project. The courthouse was dedicated in 1919 to much ceremony.

The stone-faced Eddy Building was constructed at four stories in height; twenty years later another two stories were added. It is a cool grey-colored High Victorian Italianate building with varied window treatments. Saginaw Club (1889) - 219 N. Washington.
The building remained until 1876 when a new courthouse was constructed. It was around this time that Manchester unsuccessfully petitioned to be named the county seat. The present courthouse replaced the courthouse of 1876 after a fire wiped out the structure and all of the court records.
