A 6x135 is going to have bolts that are 135mm across from each other. A check is going to have them 4.5mm further apart. That means you're trying to fit a physically smaller bolt pattern on lugs. That's going to throw your wheel off balance and the wheels aren't going to be lug or hub centric which spells disaster.
converting from 8 lug to 6. im doing a straight front axle conversion on my 1996 chevy k1500. its a z71 mint completely stock. i found the front axle i need. its a dana 44 from a 78' ford f250 but its 8 lug. i want to know what i need to buy to get my front axle matched up with my rear (10 bolt gm 8.5) the bolt pattern needs to be 6x5.5.

Rim would need to get bored out. depending on it's inner hub diameter. Since it's aftermarket who knows what the hub diameter is. Nissan hub bore = 77.8 MM hub.
No. Gmc made the light duty 3/4 in both 2wd and 4wd. If it says 1500 you have a 1/2 ton. If it says 2500 and its 6 lug you have the light duty 3/4 ton. OBS Z71 packaged trucks sometimes got the 14 bolt. F44 packaged 1500's got a 14sf. It's the same drivetrain as the 7200lb gvwr 6 lug 2500's. Not the same without you buddy.

There was a discovery a few months, maybe a year back... 94-01 Dodge 2500LD hubs share the bolt pattern and spline with GM 6-lug IFS parts. I don't think anything was discovered beyond that point. But in my opinion, that's the hardest part. Brakes are generally easy to figure out. Do some research and test fitting and get back to us.
