Fur Elise is beautiful.. if played properly . I guess what bothers me most is, since the tune is catchy, looks deceivingly easy, recognisable by everybody as classical music, has often become the first choice of most piano beginner... I don't hate Fur Elise, I just hate it when people who don't know better mistreat the piece.
There are 5 'E' keys we have to hit in the 4 octaves jump. For the high-lighted part on the music score enclosed, I wonder why we must use fingering format as L5-L5-L1-R1-R5. I find it more efficient and smoother if the fingering format is L5-L1-R1-R1-R5. (L= left hand, R = right hand, 1 t...

Here is super pianist, Bruce Liu, winner of the 2021 Chopin Competition, performing Ethan Uslan's jazzy version of Fur Elise as an encore after a concerto performance. I like this version very much, especially when performed with perfect humor and skill as it is here:
Don’t get me wrong, I like Fur Elise; it’s just a tad…overplayed. In this video, we’ll explore the piano’s wonderfully vast repertoire in search of alternatives – lesser-known pieces by lesser-known composers full of depth and around the same level of difficulty as Fur Elise. S...
I'm saying (for the third time) Fur Elise is a beautiful piece of music much maligned by people who in my opinion, really should know better. Especially as those very same people do such a good job of promoting their own unproven skills and abilities.

At certain spots below the staff there is an 8-pointed flower and the word "Leo." and occasionally some numbers like 2 written over the number 4 (these are below specific notes) or just 3 or 3 written over 5.
Fur Elise hardly has any points where completely natural fingering won't just work. There is one element where I didn't naturally play the preferred fingering: For the repeated notes in three octaves, my initial reaction was to play 5-1-2; my teacher suggested (and it's in the pdf just posted) 5-5-1 which does work better.
