The old plastic fuel line is always discolored, brittle and lacks resilience. Tygon, or the cheap knockoff equivalent, is used to replace it, and there seems to be no other options for permanent, or at least long lasting, fuel delivery. Justsaws said: Tygon can be stretched over twice the original diameter. Use needle nose pliers and work the line over the end of the pliers. It can also be heat shaped to a larger diameter just be careful not to melt or burn it. To much heat makes it to soft.

I looked online and found that the commonly used fuel lines have the following heat resistance. Tygon -35 to 165 degrees. Silicone -80 to 450 degrees (OK for Vent or vacuum hose - gasoline will dissolve). Neoprene -20 to 212 degrees. Be careful with the Tygon fuel line around hot engine or exhaust systems.
Tygon is great for homeowner saws with inexpensive, clear or yellow fuel lines. It's 10x more resistant to failure. Pro grade saws typically use a rubber fuel line specifically shaped for that particular saw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.

The ad states it is, "Tygon", fuel line. The capital "T" made me ASSume it was an ad for genuine Tygon line. Obviously I'm more crazy than the doctor said [emoji16].
