We are a small but mighty team of dedicated volunteers and fosters committed to creating happy endings for each of the homeless and abandoned animals who come into our care. For their own wellbeing and through the generosity of sponsors, some animals live out the remainder of their lives with us.
All animals in our care are fully vetted, fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. This page is updated as often as we can. If you don't see a dog you have met at an adoption event please email us.
Our adoption process involves a home check, adoption contract & adoption fee of $400-$600 for dogs depending on breed/age and $175 for cats. Adoption fees are non-refundable. Fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, de-wormer & microchip. **LA / Ventura County adoptions only.

We currently care for over 250 domestic and farm animals between our rescue ranch and foster network. Each year hundreds of homeless and abandoned animals receive health care and are re-homed through LAAR. We are a small grassroots no-kill animal rescue that runs solely on donations and volunteers.
Please fill out our foster application so we can get a better idea on your situation. We ask that you come by one of our mobile adoption events so you can meet some of our other fosters and see how we do things. Fostering is an essential part of rescuing animals.

Princess Buttercup was pulled from LA Animal Services/North Central Animal Shelter. She was also a "stray" that was dropped off at the shelter. Also has the c-section scaring and a couple of lumps. We are fundraising to get her spayed, masses removed and she will need entropian surgery to correct her bottom eyelids.
