Giacomo Antonio Melchiorre Ceruti (13 October 1698 – 28 August 1767) was an Italian late Baroque painter, active in Northern Italy in Milan, Brescia, and Venice. He acquired the nickname Pitocchetto (the little beggar) for his many paintings of peasants dressed in rags. He was born in Milan, but worked primarily in Brescia.

Giorgio Salmoiraghi (26 November 1936 – 27 December 2022) was an Italian painter. He was born in Milan. [1] Salmoiraghi graduated from the artistic High school of Brera Academy in 1955. In 1960 he was among the founders of the “Renewal of the Classical Values” together with Valmore Grazioli and Gabriele Mandel.
