Chawleigh is a village and civil parish in the Mid Devon district of Devon, England, situated just off the A377 between Crediton and Barnstaple.At the 2021 census, it had a population of 639, which was slightly less than the 642 recorded at the 2011 census.
Chulmleigh (/ ˈ tʃ ʌ m l i / CHUM-lee) is a small Saxon hilltop market town [a] and civil parish in North Devon, in the heart of the English county of Devon. It lies 20 miles (32 km) north west of Exeter , just north of the Mid Devon boundary, linked by the A377 and B3096 roads .
The school was founded in 1910 as Barnstaple Grammar School, [2] and was the first secondary school to be built by Devon County Council, educating the youth of much of North Devon.
