General. My Mini-14 is the tactical model with traditional stock and flash hider. It is a well finished gun overall. The blue-ing has worn off over time especially in areas of high contact, but this is primarily only cosmetic issue and it can be useful to note areas of potential wear-and-tear.

  6. Marlin 795 vs. Ruger 10/22 vs. Mossberg Tactical .22LR

    www.northeastshooters.com/xen/threads/marlin-795-vs-ruger-10-22-vs-mossberg...

The 795 is really bare bones. The trigger is pretty bad. The stock sights are pretty bad. I took a dremel to the rear sight to make it more well defined and square. The 10/22 is a much more refined rifle. However, the 795 is so damn light and easy to carry. My 10/22's have morphed into really heavy and bulky rifles.

Apr 26, 2009. #5/6. The only actual CT state law that I know concerning barrel length is Ch. 529 Sec. 29-27, which states that any firearm with a barrel less than 12 inches is classified as a pistol or revolver.

Aug 25, 2024. #1/51. I saw everyone getting onboard with the baofengs in the deals and steals thread. Someone pointed out that the test isn’t too hard. After a week of studying it was an easy pass. The test was held at the Northeast HamXposition, interesting experience. Smelled much better than most gun shows.

    www.northeastshooters.com/xen/threads/m-1-carbine-h110-w296.297245

Dec 7, 2015. #1/12. I'm getting ready to load for my new M-1. I have Starline brass, Sierra 110gr Pro-Hunter RN bullets, and plan to use H110/W296 propellants, which appear to be the same composition. I have several reloading manuals, some of which call for a standard small rifle primer and some of which call for a magnum small rifle primer ...
