I am starting to accumulate a lot of reloads and looking for some insight on cardboard and foam ammo boxes inside a steel 50cal ammo can vs plastic MTM boxes in an ammo can? I have heard the ammo cans are better because they seal out moisture and what not, so I picked up two of them. I have 3...

A lot of people are saying CCI mini mags but those aren’t bulk pack, or at least I haven’t seen them. The only way I’ve ever seen mini mags are in 100 count plastic boxes. I haven’t bought any Remington Thunderbolt in a long time so I can’t commen, but my opinion of the Golden Bullet bulk pack is that it’s complete garbage.

He then places these in plastic boxes and they go back into another GI ammo can for storage until he goes to the range. Humidity is the worst enemy followed by lubricant contamination. I am aware of one lot of government 308 Match ammo that malfunction investigation showed had oil contamination from a over lubricated machine on the loading line.

Surprisingly, I saw it for sale a few weeks ago and couldn’t resist picking it up again to give it more of a shake-down. The 469 was one of S&W’s “second generation” 9mm pistols, and it was produced from 1983 to 1988. Second Gen S&Ws are, to me, sort of the forgotten generation of the pre-M&P pistols, with Gen 1 and Gen 3 pistols ...

    Feb 9, 2016. #14. Toprudder, my Savage model 10 in 7.62x39 also has a .308 barrel and it shoots the .310 steel-cased stuff like a champ. Sub-MOA with steel-case .310 Hornady 123-grain SST's in fact. I figured I'd be loading .308 bullets for it until I shot some .310's.
