I have a problem with avast opening Chrome every time I log onto my computer. If I uninstall Chrome I have no problems, but as soon as I install chrome again Avast will open chrome and send me to an avast page every time I log on. This problem started only after my mirror pushed out the new version 8.
The Avast Business Protection console fails to open after installation. I have the same problem on two different servers and suspect problems with IIS. --In each case, it was a clean install of the BBP with the default settings.

I found what can cause the Avast forum login to fail to work for ALL browsers (for those that have found they were unable to login to the Avast forum). If you use a different email address for logging into the Avast Account (my.avast.com) than you have for the Avast forum then you won't be logged into the forum (OK, makes sense so far), but ...
It did a scan and then rebooted my computer. When the computer came back on, Avast told me it was unsecured and not connected to an account. When I go to settings/account and tell it to connect to my account, it asks for my email address and password, then gives me another pop up that thanks me for setting up my account and gives me an icon to ...

I registered with my Google account without any problems on pc, but when I try to login with the same address and password on my phone, it says password or email is incorrect. Tried typing again many times, restarted my phone, neither of it worked. Any help would be appreciated ...
I do not know why avast! does not use the same user passwords for both store.avast.com and avast.com, but it seems as if they are not. I found out that the password I got back in my email inbox was not the same as the one I use for avast.com, but now I were able to login at the website above and cancel mysubscription - finally!
Hey, I just solved the problem. I uninstalled the built-in VPN in Avast Premium using the instructions from Avast Support, then downloading the standalone product, installing it, attaching my license to it, and starting it. Came right on. I am now logging off, restarting my notebook. If you do not hear from me, all is well.
Re: avast causing user logoff. « Reply #7 on: July 04, 2009, 02:34:34 AM ». Once you have avast installed it should ask about a boot-time scan allow it to do that. If anything is found, make a note of the malware name, file name and location, send to the Chest, don't delete and report any findings.
