May 15—MOUNT POCONO — Mount Airy Casino Resort announced that Café Matto is joining their culinary and beverage lineup with its grand opening Saturday, May 18, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Mayberry Mall is a shopping mall located just outside Mount Airy, North Carolina on the east side of U.S. Highway 52. It was named after the fictitious town of Mayberry in which The Andy Griffith Show was based. There are three anchor stores, Belk, Hobby Lobby and Shoe Show. Mount Airy / ˈ m aʊ n t ər i / [4] is a city within Surry County, in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 United States census, the city's population was 10,676, an increase of 288 (+2.8%) from the 2010 census count of 10,388. [5] As of 2020, the city is the most populous municipality in Surry County.
Constructed in 1898 as an eight-room inn, Mount Airy Lodge was re-constructed in the 1950s as the Pocono's largest resort. In its heyday in the 1960s and 70's, Mount Airy had more than 890 rooms, indoor/outdoor pools, skiing, snowmobiling, ice-skating, hiking, biking, horseback riding, archery, an 18-hole golf course and paddle ball courts on over 1,000 acres of property.
