The methods and studies of urban ecology is a subset of ecology. The study of urban ecology carries increasing importance because more than 50% of the world's population today lives in urban areas. [5] It is also estimated that within the next 40 years, two-thirds of the world's population will be living in expanding urban centers. [6]
Urban areas in Vietnam include cities, district-level town, and commune-level town officially recognized by state authorities of Vietnam. While districts and communes are generally rural, some may be classified as urban if they meet certain conditions. Communes set to be upgraded to towns can also be recognized as type V urban areas.
Ecopark is an urban township development on the outskirts of Hanoi, in Hung Yen Province, Vietnam. The township spans 500 hectares with an estimated investment capital of over US$8.2 billion.
