These include a 1 x 6 pin connector (NMRA "Small"), the common 2 x 8 pin connector (NMRA "Medium") and the 2 x 2 pin connector (NMRA "Large").

The new Athearn 40' parcel trailers have different colored ends. I think the color had something to do with where/how they were used. Also were the different colors used in different time periods. I model the early/mid 1990's and would like to know which paint schemes of the 40' UPS trailers would fit my era. Thanks for any help. First off, the main thing that sets the Kato unit apart from the Athearn is the chassis. However, Athearn has since addressed this issue and now includes a Kato compatible drive in its C44-9W, as well as the AC4400CW, SD40-2, and SD40T-2. The next "big" difference is the beautiful plastic handrails included with Kato\'s offering.
