In a February 2011 article in Lakbima News Rohan Gunaratna claimed that the Canadian Tamil Congress was a front for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. The CTC sued Gunaratna and on 21 January 2014 the Ontario Superior Court of Justice ruled against Gunaratna, ordering him to pay the CTC damages of $37,000 and costs of $16,000.

Vithyatharan was born in Jaffna and was student of Jaffna Hindu College and studied law in Colombo but had to discontinue it after the 1983 Black July riots and returned to Jaffna. He took up journalism and has been the working in the Uthayan in 1985 since its inception.

[1] [2] His headquarters was located at Kuzhumur in Kuttanad (Central Kerala ). He lived during the late first and early second century CE.
