The Namma Metro (English: Our metro), also known as Bangalore Metro, is the rapid transit system serving the city of Bangalore in India. [1] Out of the operational 68 metro stations of Namma Metro as of November 2024, there are 59 elevated stations, eight underground stations and one at-grade station.
A foot overbridge connecting the metro station with platform 10 of the Bangalore City railway station was opened on 18 February 2019. The BMRC reported that monthly ridership at the metro station was 175,000 passengers per day prior to opening the bridge, and increased to 250,000 two months after its opening. [2]
The BMRCL charges ₹ 50,000 (US$590) for shooting inside a metro station, and ₹ 40,000 (US$470) for shoots inside a metro train during peak hours between 6 am to 10 pm.
