William David Davies (1 April 1948 – 10 February 2021) was a Welsh professional footballer, who played as a goalkeeper between 1969 and 1987. He made 52 appearances for the Wales national team and played for Everton, Wrexham (twice), Tranmere Rovers and at Swansea City (three spells).
Afterwards the Everton manager, Harry Catterick, commented: "I still say these penalties to decide a match are like a circus." Rankin stayed with Everton until 1971, part of a squad that won the FA Cup in 1966 and the League Championship in 1970, but only made 85 league appearances as he was mostly kept out of the team by first choice ...

After his playing career Hurst remained in the game, working as a coach at Everton, and as a scout for Manchester City, then managed by his former teammate, Joe Royle. Terry Darracott (6 October 1950 – 22 March 2022) was an English professional footballer who played as a left back for Everton and Wrexham in the Football League and for the Tulsa Roughnecks in the North American Soccer League.
Kevin Joseph Campbell (4 February 1970 – 15 June 2024) was an English professional footballer, sports television pundit and commentator.. A striker, Campbell played in the Premier League for Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Everton and West Bromwich Albion.
Johnson signed for Liverpool rivals Everton as a youngster and after showing his ability in early matches, Liverpool manager Bill Shankly pestered Everton counterpart Harry Catterick to sell the young striker, but was rebuffed. Johnson made his Everton debut as a 19-year-old on 8 January 1971 in a 2–2 league draw with Burnley at Turf Moor.
He was a scout for former team Everton, but on 3 December 2007 King was appointed Chief Scout at Championship side Plymouth Argyle. He was then appointed as Head Scout at Colchester United in 2010. On 30 November 2011, King was appointed as Assistant Manager to Aidy Boothroyd at Northampton Town .
