June. make sure the game isn’t installed, go to downloads on the ea app in the settings and you can change where the download will go and you can make a new folder. when you go to install it, it will also ask for the download location and make sure it’s on that new folder.

Hero. @AgentButterfly25 Try moving the entire Mods folder to the desktop and allowing the game to create a new one. If that doesn't help, download a fresh copy of one mod or cc item confirmed compatible with patch 1.96 and add it to the new Mods folder, but nothing else, and test. If that doesn't help either, let me know what antivirus you use.
@_Manou1996_ The Sims 4 user folder, the one that contains the Mods folder, is always in Documents > Electronic Arts no matter where you've installed the game's program files. If, however, you've used a symbolic link to move the user folder to the external drive, then that's where you need to look.
