The France national under-20 football team (French: Équipe de France des moins de 20 ans de football) represents France in men's international football at this age level and is controlled by the French Football Federation. Since there is no under-20 UEFA tournament, the team competes for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Winning the competition in 2009, 2014 – year in which they win the Grand Slam – and 2018, [1] they also have participated in the inaugural IRB Junior World Championship (later renamed the World Rugby U20 Championship) and all subsequent editions, winning it on three occasions, three times in a row, in 2018, 2019 and 2023.
The tournament serves as Europe's qualification to the next year's World Rugby U20 Trophy organised by the World Rugby. On March 12, 2020, following the recent evolution of COVID-19, Rugby Europe has announced a suspension of all its matches and tournaments, from Friday, March 13, 2020, until April 15, 2020. [ 1 ]
Because there is no under-20 competition at UEFA level, Germany's under-20 side has generally only played competitive matches when it has qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which is held every 2 years. Since the 2017–18 season, Germany also contest the Under 20 Elite League, winning the inaugural season.
The 2021 European Athletics U20 Championships were the 26th edition of the biennial European U20 athletics championships. They were held in Tallinn , Estonia from 15 July to 18 July. [ 1 ] The 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships had been held in the same venue one week earlier, after Bergen renounced.
