Gaylon M. Lawrence (March 15, 1934 – July 10, 2012) was an American businessman and farmer. Goodman Manufacturing is an American company operating as an independent subsidiary [1] [2] of Daikin Group, the world's largest manufacturer of heating, ventilation and air conditioning products and systems. The company, founded in 1975 and based in Waller, Texas, manufactures residential heating and cooling systems. [3]
On March 2, 2023, Daikin announced they had acquired the San Diego–based custom air-handling equipment manufacturer Alliance Air Products. [24] In 2024, Daikin bought the naming rights to Minute Maid Park, home of Major League Baseball's Houston Astros, renaming it to Daikin Park on January 1, 2025. The deal is expected to run through 2039. [25]
