Oruro (Hispanicized spelling) or Uru Uru [1] is a city in Bolivia with a population of 264,683 (2012 calculation), [2] about halfway between La Paz and Sucre in the Altiplano, approximately 3,709 meters (12,169 ft) above sea level.

Saucarí province is one of the sixteen provinces in the Oruro Department. It is located between 17° 50' and 18° 47' South and between 66° 47' and 67° 17' West. The province borders Cercado Province in the north and east, Nor Carangas Province in the northwest, Carangas Province in the west, Sud Carangas Province in the south, and Poopó Province in the southeast.
