Target Canada Co. was a short-lived Canadian subsidiary of the Target Corporation, the eighth-largest retailer in the United States.Formerly headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, the subsidiary formed with the acquisition of Zellers store leases from the Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) in January 2011.

Zellers – discount retailer chain (1931–2020), store leases purchased by Target Canada in 2011, with brand name replaced & stores changed to Target in 2013. The last two stores using the Zellers name, were closed in 2020. In spring 2023 HBC re-opened some Zellers stores within select Hudson's Bay Stores
Target Canada was the chain of Target stores in Canada. It was formed in 2013 when Target acquired Zellers leases and converted them into Target stores. Target Canada was in operation for two years until the closure of all stores in 2015. [ 46 ]

The store converted to Walmart in 2012 as part of 39 Zellers leases sold by Target to Walmart Canada. New Minas (Gardens Mall) Converted to Zellers in 1991.
Target acquired the lease of Zellers at Galeries d'Anjou, allowing it to open its own store on October 18, 2013. [36] After Target closed all its stores in Canada in April 2015, its space at Galeries d'Anjou was left vacant for two years. Winners, Saks Off 5th and Old Navy opened in 2017 in the former Target location. [37]
