Quinta das Lágrimas in Coimbra, Portugal.. Quinta das Lágrimas (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈkĩtɐ ðɐʒ ˈlaɣɾimɐʃ]) is a quinta in Coimbra.It was classified [1] [2] in 1977 as an "Imóvel de Interesse Publico" (En: Building of Public Interest) by the IPPAR.
On 20 February 1985, the property was classified as a Imóvel de Interesse Público (Property of Public Interest). In 1993, the Caixa Geral de Depósitos , as principal creditor of IPALTUR, petitioned the liquidation of IPALTUR, resulting in an uncertain future for the property, as it mortgaged at the time. [ 1 ]
The IPPAR consultative council favoured its establishment as a Imóvel de Interesse Público (Property of Public Interest) pm 24 March 1994. [ 3 ] In 1995, Lello & Irmão created a new society: Prólogo Livreiros S.A. , which preceded its reopening on 15 March 1995, following a period of restoration and remodelling.
