George Henry Burnett (May 9, 1853 – September 10, 1927) was an American attorney and judge in the state of Oregon. He was the 21st chief justice of the Oregon Supreme Court serving twice as chief first in 1921 to 1923, and then in 1927 when he died in office. Overall he served on Oregon’s highest court from 1911 until 1927.

George Burnett (born March 25, 1962) [1] is the general manager of the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League. Burnett previously played in the OHL with the London Knights , and later became a two-time OHL Coach of the Year and won an OHL championship in his first tour of duty with the Guelph Storm.

George Murray Burnett FRSE FRSA FRIC LLD (1921–1980) was a Scottish mathematician and chemist. He served as both Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University from 1974 until 1980. He is largely remembered for his work on polymer reactions.
Burnett was born at Streatham in March 1824. He made two appearances in first-class cricket for the Gentlemen of Kent against the Gentlemen of England at Canterbury in 1849 and Lord's in 1850. [1] He scored 31 runs in his two matches, with a high score of 13. [2] Burnett was a distiller based at Vauxhall by profession. [3]
