Kottarathil Sankunni (born Vasudevan, 1855–1937) was an Indian writer of Malayalam literature.Best known as the author of Aithihyamala, an eight-volume compilation of century-old legends about Kerala, [1] Sankunni's writings cover prose and poetry, including verses for Kathakali and Ottan Thullal.
Sreeraman's stories stand foremost core to the theme, as exemplified by his Anayasena Maranam (Dying an Easy Death) and Railway Palangal (The Rails). He won the prestigious Kendra Sahitya Academy Award in 1999 for his collection of short stories Sreeramante Kathakal and Kerala Sahitya Academy Award for the collection Vasthuhara .
Kottarathil Sankunni (23 March 1855 – 22 July 1937), a Sanskrit-Malayalam scholar who was born in Kottayam in present-day Kerala, started documenting these stories in 1909. They were published in the Malayalam literary magazine, the Bhashaposhini , and were collected in eight volumes and published in the early 20th century.

N. Mohanan (27 April 1933 – 3 October 1999) was a Malayalam-language short story writer and novelist from Kerala, India.He was awarded the Nalapadan Award (Nalapaddan Memorial Cultural Society, Kunnathur, Punnayurkulam) in 1991 for his short story Sheshapathram.
His book Unnikalkku Noottiyettu Gurudeva Kathakal received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Children's Literature in 2013.
